We’ve been listening to your feedback, and today we’re excited to announce some powerful new positioning features for the EU Tax Exemption Widget. Whether you’re using a minimal theme or a feature-rich one, you now have complete control over where your widget appears.
Every Shopify theme is different. Some themes use narrow content areas, while others stretch across the full screen. This made it tricky to position the tax exemption widget exactly where you wanted it – especially if you wanted it aligned to the right side of your cart page, matching your checkout button.
Flexible Alignment You can now choose to align your widget to the left, center, or right of your page. Perfect for matching your store’s layout and keeping things visually balanced.
Container Width Control For stores using full-width themes, we’ve added a “Container max width” setting. This lets you define a maximum width for the widget area – for example, 1200 pixels – so your widget stays within your content area rather than floating in a sea of whitespace.
Mobile-Friendly by Default We know more than half of shoppers browse on their phones. The widget now automatically adapts to smaller screens, stretching to fill the available space with comfortable margins on each side. No more tiny widgets lost on mobile screens!
